    Udupi Police Introduce ‘Locked House Beat System’ for Resident Safety

    To curb burglaries, the Udupi district police have launched the Locked House Beat System (LHBS), providing dedicated patrolling for individual houses left vacant during travel. Residents can register by calling the control room at 0820-2526709 and sharing their address along with a house selfie via WhatsApp. Once registered, local beat officers will monitor the property during day and night shifts until the owner's return. This free service is exclusively for independent houses and aims to offer peace of mind to citizens traveling for work or leisure.
